AI for Business Masterclass: How Christian Pillajo Helped London Entrepreneurs Automate and Save Time

On Friday 28 August, Starup brought together local entrepreneurs at Walworth Town Hall in London for a free, hands-on masterclass on artificial intelligence for business. The goal was simple: help small business owners save time, automate repetitive tasks, and start using AI tools with confidence, even with zero technical background.

What the Masterclass Covered

For around 90 minutes, attendees learned practical, no-jargon ways to bring AI into their day-to-day work. The session covered:

• Tools beyond ChatGPT that entrepreneurs can start using today
• How to automate repetitive, time-consuming tasks
• Practical ways to fit AI into an existing workflow, without needing to code
• A live Q&A on real business problems attendees are facing right now

Meet the Speaker: Christian Pillajo

The masterclass was led by Christian Pillajo Sanchez, a Senior AI Engineer and AI Transformation Partner with more than 8 years of experience in artificial intelligence, dating back to when the field was still mostly known for computer vision, machine learning and deep learning, long before AI became mainstream. He has worked on AI projects for companies including biometric technology firm Facephi, and today runs his own AI consultancy, PiSan AI, helping businesses take AI projects from prototype to real production use. Rather than a theoretical lecture, the session felt like a working conversation: entrepreneurs could ask about their own businesses and leave with tools they could apply the same week.

Inside the Room: A Community Learning Together

Held under the light-filled skylight of Walworth Town Hall, the session brought together entrepreneurs from Starup’s community, many of them Spanish-speaking business owners based in London. The atmosphere stayed relaxed and hands-on throughout, with attendees following along live on screen as Christian demonstrated each tool.

Why This Matters for Our Community

London is home to a large and growing Spanish-speaking and Latino business community, and access to AI training in a familiar, supportive environment is still rare. This masterclass is part of Starup’s ongoing mission: giving Latino entrepreneurs in the UK practical, no-cost tools to compete and grow, taught in a way that respects their time and their language.
